Through email and public sound system, our lovely Public Relation Unit (DPSHM) announces that tomorrow 22nd December 2011 there will be a celebration of mother's day and every lady employee is required (means obliged?) to use our traditional dress kebaya. Whew! As long as I remember, this is the first time our office issue such a requirement on mother day. If it is Kartini day (commemoration of our heroine who struggled for woman emancipation) then everyone already understand. But using kebaya in mother's day? (Little Princess replies suddenly to my gtalk cheer expression with a single word "rempong deh...")
Surely different countries celebrate mother's day through their own way, depending on their value of the mother and woman in general. In our country the mother's day is commemorated with association with Women Congress held on 22nd December 1928 that issued a declaration to create Indonesian Woman Congress, an element in struggle of Indonesian people to gain their independence.
Whatever its background anyway, I myself would love to see club lady members to wear kebayas tomorrow. I guess I will be very-very-very (see my stressing point?) interested to look at them walking with small steps, restricted by the kain and their faces being different due different combination. My camera has been prepared for the very special occasion like this. If tomorrow this requirement is complied by lady employees, it means our office will be very colorful, full with kebayas. Yeaaaaaa... (I will focus firstly and primarily to Ms. Wirdie and Ms. Riska, since, I guess they will have different looks tomorrow....)
Be ready with your camera guys, or you will lost this precious moment...
