This was a little accident that happened to me and ms ordinary woman last friday..our first time experience meeting with Deputy Governor :)
A couple days ago we were told that our team, or our boss actually, was appointed to present our audit findings in front of one of our Deputy Governor, Mr HA, but we weren't told the exact time. Then last Friday morning, Mr AST told us that the meeting will be held on the afternoon. Ms ordinary woman was asked to prepare the presentation material while she also babysitted her son in office (actually he's not a baby anymore..heheh), and I was busy to prepare our business trip plan to Jambi and Pekanbaru next week. We were in a hectic situation and I heard everybody talked...
At 4.00 pm, Mr AST told me that we should be ready for the meeting on call basis of Mr HA and he also appointed me to come for being an "asrot" (it's like "pelengkap penderita", right?heheh). Not long after, he said that ms ordinary woman would joined and helped the presentation because her son had been picked up by her hubby, so I should stay then.
At 5.30 pm, Mr NWW told us that Mr HA was ready to meet us in 30 minutes and he asked all of the team members to come. So, we went there and brought the laptop as we usually did when we had a presentation.
When we got in the meeting room, we saw a PC in the corner, which was already connected to the Infocus. But then we realized that there was no infocus cable around there...so it means we should use a flash disk to trasfer the file into the PC..oh la..la...none of us brought the flash disk...not even thought about it..not at all...Not long after, Mr HA came to the meeting room and started the meeting while we were still busy to figure out how to transfer the file, because went back to the 22nd floor will be the last option, right?Fortunately, one of Mr HA's assistant saw our panic situation, so he went to his nearby room and borrowed his flash disk..fiiiuuuuh..
After the 30 minutes meeting, we went back to the 22nd floor and felt relieved...especially after that little accident...hihihiiih..and we laughed at ourselves because of that..we felt 'katrok" you know..heheh...It's DG's room meeting so the properties must be sophisticated, right? We thought it is an ordinary meeting room like we had in our floor....hehehe... Then we asked Mr AST why he didn't tell us to bring the flash disk instead of the laptop there...and he said that he already told us about it but none of us had attention on him or maybe he just felt that he already said it...heheh...sowry sir.. :)
Then on the way he went home, he said that next time we should listen carefully to what he said...
Yes, Sir...we will... :)
So, that was my short story, I hope you can enjoy it..and not many grammatical errors on it :). I will go to Jambi next Monday.. I never went there before..but I don't feel excited after heard Ms Weirdie's experience in that city...she didn't recommend that city at all..!!!! and I have to leave my baby..hiks...so I will tell about the trip later..I hope I can enjoy it ...and back to Jakarta on Friday night...wish me luck...c-u then...
Mwahahah :))
ReplyDeleteMoral of the story: Never, ever, talk to any of those super-busy guys at DPbS on busy hours. They barely can hear you. Especially when eyes are on their monitor and their fingers on the keyboard and no word escapes from their lips, you should TRY really hard to get their attention, and you'd better have a really really really really important message to deliver: Bring Your Flash Disk! :P
happens to me as well, well.. xD
