Pilot

for those who love watching TV-drama series, you must be familiar with their first episodes which always come with the title "PILOT"
so here comes the short plus not-so-funny equals to boring lines of mine for my PILOT episode :D

You know what comes to mind when your colleagues talk to you in English? at first, I was somewhat (over)worried, unconfident, can't stop thinking "am I saying the right words and grammatically correct?" "do I sound awkward?" "do others feel disturbed?" "do others think that we might just show-off?" "do we make others feel uncomfortable?" et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. At the same time, I also want to improve my ability to speak in English, especially when it comes to formal situations when usually I will get too nervous and all of a sudden I can hear myself talking like an E.T from outer space :P

But all of the thoughts suddenly vanished when I found some people who also eager to learn the language, simply by using English in daily conversations. Some people do it due to their TOEFL test preparation, some people do it for upgrading the level of self-confidence to speak, some people do it for the sake of.. FUN :D We call it: English Club. Formally the members only had met once. That was introductory meeting! :P then everyone went back to their daily activities being so bloody busy with their work. But the conversation continues in a massive mails-attack :D thanks to Mr. C who initiated the Club and kept the members improved their ability by starting mail threads and inviting everyone to join (especially the free lunch! :D). And also Ms. Pingki, Ms. Laura, Ms. Linda, Ms. Nita, Mr. Ncus, Mr. Gun, you all have somehow brought bright colours into my chaotic-days at work :)) thank you!

A little note from our prior conversation via emails, I've added some links that might be useful. Perhaps you want to check it out to learn by yourself, or you might just want to know your progress of learning English by doing an online test once in a while :)
Just check these out:

  1. Thank you princess.
I remember someone came to my desk and told me that she will be a liaison officer for a very-very important people, and she felt unconfident about her task. While everyone has no problem for such assignment given to her (they trust on her, in fact, no argue at all), it never came to my mind why this lady -on the contrary- wanted to run away from it? And why should she come to me too? Wanted advice while my self need one? hihihihi....
There was also a case where somebody was unconfident about her TOEFL test....
In both cases, what I could do was just pushing and pushing their spirit, as far as I could, so the level of their confidence can plunge up to the sky....
And -Thanks God- we did it....
    Then what else you need?
Keep talking, speaking and writing pals...
We have everything in the web... just like prince post it for you. See how kind the princess is?
    *Putri Solo teaaa....hihihihi
